Nai Yang

Because of it’s location at the upper northwest region of Phuket, it tends to receive more of the southwest energy that bypasses the tip of North Sumatra.

Bang Tao

Located midway down the west coast of Phuket, surfing Bang Tao beach along this spread out beach break can surely offer some fun when conditions are just right.

Surin Beach is located along the central west coast of Phuket. This break is notorious for being one of the more powerful and faster waves on the island and waves can reach up to overhead in size.


Surfing Kamala beach in Phuket is great for newbies to try surfing for the first time. The waves are gentle, rolling, and fat making it an ideal spot for longboarding.

A fun right hander and a great big smile are what you’ll get at this coral reef break. The reef rocky bottom does get pretty shallow on the inside but the right hand peeler can offer you one of the longest rides here along Phuket’s west coast.


Patong’s wide stretch of open beach and sandy beach bottom makes it pretty ideal for learning to surf. Phuket’s most popular beach is terrific spot for beginners to learn the fundamentals and even advance to the next level.

One of Phuket’s finest beach offer no particular take off spots but you will find some A-frame peaks along the beach when conditions are favorable.
